Choose two cultures and compare the stories that show the creation of life or human life. (i.e. story of the Norse culture vs. the Indian culture). AVOID comparing and contrasting Judaism, Christianity, and Islam as they are the same stories. For example, if you choose the flood story for any of these, they are ALL the same story from Genesis, the first chapter of the Bible.
The stories can be ancient and/or current. You will want to give a BRIEF summary of each culture’s version of the story. Look for the underlying patterns and motifs as well as the lessons each story teach. Focus on the similarities of the stories as well as the differences. Often times, the differences are in the details but the overall purpose/teaching moral of the stories are the same.
